Many say it has the best pimento cheese burgers they've every had. There's one trick though: they don't have a sign so you have to know where it is to find it.
It's just a plain brick building with no sign from the front, but it has an outdoor seating area in the back. |
If you're wondering where you enter, look for this door. Seriously, it's not that clear, so look for this door. |
The no-sign thing makes you think it's kind of a hole-in-the wall, but it's actually pretty nice inside. |
If you like pimento cheese (and don't get enough with the Pimento Cheese Burger), then get the Pimento Cheese Fries. Yum.
I feel like you need to expound on those Pimento Cheese fries. How does that work?
ReplyDeleteI don't normally eat Pimento, so I'm not sure the difference, but they just brought a huge basket of fries and a big bowl of melted pimento cheese, and we dipped it. It made me a fan of Pimento Cheese, at least in that context. :o)
ReplyDeleteI don't understand why there are no signs? Do they not want much business?
ReplyDeleteNo sign = secret mafia place. You gotta know or be somebody! Yes, best pimento cheeseburger I've ever had; however, the only pimento cheeseburger I ever had, but serious, very good food and a fun place!
ReplyDeleteJohn's office did this restaurant. He says that the old Rockaway's burned down and they wanted the new one to have the same feel -- non-descript brick building with no sign, shutters over the front windows, and an entrance that's tucked away!
ReplyDeleteYou are making want a burger now, Christi! :)
