A Lil' Help

Okay, audience participation is required for this post.  I would really like to know what you would like to read about.  I've moved to Beirut, and I spend most of my days being thoroughly overstimulated by sights, sounds, and smells.  Most of the time I have no idea how to filter them down to something interesting.

I would love feedback about what you would like to hear about while I'm here, Lebanon-related or no.  Feel free to leave your ideas in the comments section, and I'll use them as fodder to help get the supply, my crazy life here in Beirut, to the demand, all of you eager, sitting-on-the-edge-of-your-seat, readers ;o).

Also, I will shamelessly self-promote this post until I get some feedback.  Might as well go ahead and leave your thoughts now.  Resistance is futile.

    hmmm... maybe 1) picture stories of a day's outings (going to a market or the coast or i don't really know where you go)

    2) nameless or pseudonym'd profiles of different Lebanese people... what is their story, what's their life like now, what's their dream... how are they the same or different from Americans?

    3)funny or embarrassing stories or pictures of sam ;)

    I like the idea of sharing the Lebanese people's stories.

    You could also choose just one of those new sights/sounds/smells to share with us. It would be like experiencing a little piece of a new culture with you.

    And you could always steal my "Photo o' the Week" idea and share something cool about your new locale with us each week.

    I love it when any of you post about a normal day. Or some random thing that happens that is typical of your city.

    This is random, but any of us with old eyes, it is hard to read this gray font on the black background. :-)

    Oh, wait, suddenly it is white background wtih black font! Yea!

    Picture/Story: a baby, a toddler, a youth, a college student, a young adult, a mother, an elderly

    Meet each. Take a pic. Tell their story.

    Pics of signs and their meanings.

    Pics of animals in their context. Expound.

    --------

    Current Pop Culture: Trends, Literature, Fashion, etc.

    --------

    Lebanese History: Experience, Dreams, etc.

    --------

    Word of the Day: Video Post (Use your gift of teaching)

    Video Tour: Take Us To the Store/Market

    --------

    Hot Spots: Go to a place in the city. Tell us which people go there, what do they experience, and why. (ex: With a pic of the Corniche)
