Purse World

So, the time has come for a little spring cleaning, and for me that includes a very needed purging of old purses.  Old purses are a cache of receipts, trash, and little treasures just waiting to be found.  (Disclaimer:  This is not true of all women.  There are some lovely ladies out there that promptly clean out their bags, and would never allow such mayhem.  I am not one of them.)

I've been walking past my rack of purses for weeks
now knowing I need to clean them out.
Today I finally got on it!

For funsies, I've included a list of things found in this season's treasure hunt.  This does not include things in my current purse, wallet, or work bag.  It also doesn't include the bag of disc-golf discs pictured.  This is only things flying loose in purses I'm not currently using.
  1. 57 receipts (including 4 receipts with Chick-fil-a surveys for a free sandwich.  Win!)
  2. 4 coupons
  3. 1 airline baggage tag
  4. $6.68 in loose change and bills
  5. 1 pair sunglasses
  6. 20 bookmarks with the books of the Bible on them
  7. 4 pens
  8. 1 pink marker
  9. 1 owl eraser
  10. Halls cough drops
  11. 1 piece orange candy
  12. 1 tube chapstick
  13. 3 lists (grocery and to-do)
  14. 1 pack 100 calorie Mini-Fudge Stripes
  15. 2 packs tissues
  16. 1 pair socks
  17. Tums
  18. Advil
  19. Tylenol
  20. 1 Quote from my old Office Daily Calendar:  Michael:  "I don't know what the best plan is, Pam.  Oh, God. My mind is going a mile an hour."  Pam: "That fast?"
  21. 2 name tags from past Cru events, still in the name tag holders.  (Sorry Kristin!)
  22. 4 books about Lebanese Arabic
  23. 1 case for mini-DVDs for my camcorder
  24. The handout from last April's World-Wide Day of Prayer
  25. 1 old prayer letter
  26. The program from First Pres's Spiritual Life Conference in January
  27. 6 hair bands
  28. 5 hair clips
  29. a 4 GB SD card
  30. a roll of scotch tape
  31. 1 wing nut from my crutches
  32. a map of the Ridgecrest Conference Center
  33. 1 days notes from staff meeting
  34. 1 small notepad
  35. Umbrella
  36. 1 cell-phone case
I was mostly excited about the money, the umbrella (I've been looking for that thing!), and the pens (I'm a pen snob.  I only like a certain type of pen, and I'm always glad to come across more).

Ladies, if would like to write about your own purse-purge and don't have a blog of your own, feel free to post in my comments section.  Mi casa es su casa for this one!
