Day 2: Lunchtime

Today, my lunch was what we made in my Lebanese cooking class this morning!  The appetizer in the front is mtabbal, a baba-ganoush like dish made from eggplant.  The main dish to the right is maghrebine, made with lamb, chicken, vegetables, and a great gravy-like sauce (yum!).  The bowls in the back are the mouhalabieh, a dessert made with rice powder and rose water.  As the say in Lebanon, sahtein!
